Information

General Information

A few basic things to know are:
This is an adult only event. As much as we love children, this likely won't be much fun for them.
We encourage casual attire. If you feel like you look good and are comfortable, go for it!
Pittsburgh is a lovely city with lots to do, so if you are looking for any recommendations, please ask! We've spent a good bit of time there while planning.

Accomodation

Home2Suites Pitsbugh McCandless

Please be aware that the Pittsburgh Marathon is happening the day after the ceremony. We would strongly encourage you to book a hotel room if you need one as soon as you RSVP.
We have rooms blocked at a nearby Home2Suites. If you indicate in your RSVP that you'd like to use that, we will send you the booking link. There will be a shuttle to and from the wedding from the hotel for anyone interested.
If you don't use the room block, we'd highly advise against booking a hotel within the bounds of the marathon route. The route covers the majority of downtown and the Hill District. It also extends east through Shadyside over to Highland Park. Some much more affordable options can be found to the north of the city.

Getting To Pittsburgh

There are direct Amtrak trains to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia and Chicago.
For those flying, the Pittsburgh airport is about a 25 minute drive from downtown. There is also a regular express bus into town.
Driving times are 8 hours from Chicago, 5 hours from Philadelphia, and 2-4 hours for our guests from West Virginia.
Once you're in Pittsburgh, it's relatively easy to get around the city on public transit. Just be aware that you need to purchase tickets before you get on.
